Connecting the RGBYW remote control to its controller (LTech)

This article covers the synchronization of the LTech 5 Channel controller with the Q5 RGBYW remote control.

  • Ensure that the controller and strip lighting are wired correctly and the controller is attached to a 24V power source. Ensure that the remote has functional batteries installed.
  • Power on the lighting circuit ensuring there is power to the driver, controller and LED strip.
  • Hold the 'match' button on the top of the controller until the controller makes a beeping sound. The controller will then restart. Wait at least 15 seconds prior to carrying out any other function on the controller as it needs time to reboot.
  • Press the match button as a single short press and you will hear a beep and the strip lighting attached will begin to flash. This indicates that the controller is in synchronisation mode.
  • On the remote, you will see four vertical buttons with three symbols on each. These being "I', "1 to 4" and "0". Each of these is able to be allocated to a controller (i.e. up to 4 controllers can communicate with each remote.

Note: For this example, we will assume there is only one controller being used

  • Press and hold the "I" button on channel one of the remote while the controller is still in synchronisation mode. When the synchronisation is complete, you will hear another beep to advise a connection has been established.

Note: The controller and remote will retain memory, even in the event of a power outage.
