Troubleshooting

My light will not turn on
  • Please ensure input connections to the LED driver are connected properly and screws are tightened.
  • Please ensure output connections between the LED driver and the lamp are connected securely and the polarity is correct.
  • (If applicable) please check the dimmer module on the circuit is not dimmed to a low setting. Raise the dimming level to start the light if this is the case.
  • Ensure electricity is present in the phase and neutral of the input connections and a TPS core is not broken from a product within the same circuit.
My Light Flashes
  • (if applicable) Adjust the dimming level on the affected circuit to normalise the flashing effect.
  • (if applicable) Replace the dimmer to a compatible model with the LED driver
  • (if Applicable) Contact Visionary if the flashing is in a pattern of three flashes - this indicates a diagnostic code and will require further technical diagnostics by a technician.
My light glows faintly in the ceiling - even when the circuit is switched off
  • Check circuit leakage from 2/3 way switches (if applicable)
  • Check no coiled TPS of other electrical cabling is nearly/on top of the driver (Flyback transformer induction/excitation)
  • Check there isn't a TPS cable screwed into metal battens in the ceiling
My lamp shimmers or flashes at certain times of the day
  • (if applicable) Remove any dimmer that is using a 'leading edge' topology
My Luminaire or control gear is making buzzing or humming sounds
  • Check if Installed dimmer is interfering with the luminaire by adjusting the dimmer to determine if sound changes. If dimmer is determined as cause, replace dimmer with an LED or trailing edge dimmer to resolve issue.
