Tri-Colour or Changeable CCT?

Tri-colour lighting products were initially invented for lighting manufacturers to hold a lower number of SKU lines as one lamp can emit three different colour temperatures. The method that is typically is through using two sets of LED diodes at different colour temperatures and a switch is used to decide which set of LED's are used. One of the drawbacks of many 3CCT luminaires is that they require the mixing of multiple LED diodes to attain certain colour temperatures. If this process is not undertaken correctly or poorly binned LED's are used, there is a risk for colour shifting or inaccurate colour rendering to occur, which can be problematic on installations where multiple luminaires are required in a room space.
