Why does a Commercial Downlight require a surface socket and plug?

While Visionary commercial downlight products don't require a surface socket as you can directly wire into the product's LED driver, we recognise that the industry standard for commercial downlights is to use a surface socket-based connection for the installation of products of this type. We, therefore, provide 2-pin plugs preinstalled for customer convenience.
